2011 Volkswagen Passat Price & Model detail released
Volkswagen gave us the very slightly facelifted 2011 VW Passat a few weeks ago. They like to call it the seventh generation Passat, but when we reported the reveal at the Paris Motor Show we said we struggled to see it as a anything more than six and three-quarters as its underpinnings are identical. Actually, Passat 6.5 might be e better description.
Sure, we've seen the 2013 SRT Viper at the New York auto show and in glossy magazine photos. But how does it look on the street, among other more pedestrian vehicles? Autoweek reader Spencer Abbott spotted this 2013 SRT Viper cooling its heels in a Metro Detroit parking lot.
Our friends over at Jalopnik are currently at Jaguar F-Type media event over in Seattle, where they had a chance to catch up with its design Wayne Burgess (check out our full interview with him here), who revealed some interesting sources of inspiration for some of its detailing. The first is a real easter egg - a detail that once you've discovered it you can't help but see - the front lamp cans are based on Star Wars' TIE Fighter. What has been seen can not be unseen.
